# Altair, full index > Altair is an AI-native, done-for-you medical billing service for independent medical practices. Altair runs the entire revenue cycle: eligibility and prior authorization before the visit, then checking the note against payer policy, submitting the claim, tracking every claim to payment, appealing every denial, billing the patient and collecting the patient responsibility, and posting the cash. The practice hires no one and manages no one. Altair's own in-house billers own the exceptions. Altair works with every EMR, practice management system, and clearinghouse on the market.
